Wow! Is all I have to say about this ultra-authentic historic Italian eatery! My daughter got accepted to graduate school at Harvard University and chose this cool spot for the family to celebrate her. Located in the really hot and happening hood of The Nations, some of it’s coolness is that it has an outdoor playground to pass the time away while you wait to be seated.
There is a grocery store which is the market where you can purchase ingredients to attempt to make the delectable eats yourself, which is really cool. We got pizza dough that made us think we were back in our hometown of Chicago, it was so good. Décor was really authentic, casual and homey. You definitely felt like you were among your big ole Italian family having Sunday dinner with all of your long lost cousins and aunties, because the noise level is such that you may have to raise your voice a bit in order to be heard….definitely a party and a fun one at that!
They are a Nashville Original started in 1966 with 4 locations all in some of the hottest most fun neighborhoods. The other 3 are in Gulch, West Meade and Green Hills. One of our favorite dishes was a traditional Chicken Parmesean…oooooh super flavorful…you gotta get it!
