Got lunch take out and MAN do I have a hack for y’all!!! Their ultra famous pork chop is simply PORK PERFECTION! I have never had a more massive and at the same time succulent and tender piece of porky goodness in all of my life! It normally costs $47 served a la carte with scratch-made applesauce, but the hack is ONLY $17 and is served with a mashed potato and the applesauce…what a deal!! Yep believe it! It is just on Fridays from 11am – 5pm. This chop was so big that I was able to share it with my super carnivorous daughter..and we were both really full! It was 3 fingers high and looked more like a baby pork roast not a chop and was plenty. The regular cut is actually 6 fingers high…WHAT?!?! This place is absolutely stunning! Reservations are highly recommended for the dining room. They also offer a casual dining experience called Bar 79 which does not need reservations. Started in 1979 in Texas as a butcher shop. Note the display of the clever which is reminiscent of it’s humble beginnings as a butcher shop. They have come a loooooong way. This place is gorgeous! My husband and I celebrated our 28th anniversary there and were blown away with the décor, the fancy vibe and the magnificent food.
