Stock & Barrel

The love affair began when I experienced it for the very first time in Knoxville. But low and behold burger heaven opened up and truly blessed me with learning that there is one here in Nashville!!! Wait?! What??? That’s crazy! So I wrangled my hubby, 3 daughters and some of my dearest burger loving friends and trucked on down to the Gulch to break burger bread with them.  It definitely delivered on both ambiance and flavor. I will admit however, I still have a special place in my heart for my first burger love, which is the Stock and Barrel in Knoxville, which is the original one. But I will definitely get my burger fix on at the one in Nashville any day of the week, when I am not up for making that 3 hour drive! My favorite is the Steakhouse Burger, which I get absolutely every time I go. I want to try however The Bernie  which uniquely has blueberry jam, bacon and deep fried jalapenos…my friend just ranted and raved about the bite of that combo of ingredients…I will go for it next time! 2 things I appreciate most about S and B are they use the highest quality grass fed beef around, and it is sourced locally from Mitchells farm here in TN. I also love that much of their sauces and condiments like the tomato jam, garlic aioli and most of all of the others, are actually made from scratch.
